Had a weekend camp in. Setup the tent in the backyard for a sleepover Friday night, made tinfoil dinners and sat around the propane fire. The next day we went on a hike and then on Sunday I made a dutch oven roast and cornbread. I burned the cornbread which stinks but it was a half recipe and I guessed the heat needs wrong and left it in a little long.
While I was in the mood I also mink oiled my boots and oiled and waterproofed my soft deer skin car gloves (best investment of $20. Work gloves, camp gloves, warmish, heat resistant and waterproof for car washes)
I’ve waterproofed these 3 times now, I could shower with these things if I felt so Inclined.

I love deerskin gloves! I had a pair I used for workgloves that I lost somewhere a few years ago, also had a pair of motorcycle gloves in deerskin. Now that I think about it they’re lost too as I haven’t seen them in 2 seasons...
That’s beautiful where you are! I was thinking about doing the same here with a backyard exploration trip

Do you know what brand your gloves are? I have or had the same ones. I’ll have to buy another pair if I can’t find mine.

Don’t recall, bought them at home depot. I have 2 pair now. One that stays at home and one that travels with me.

They’re probably generic then
. I don’t remember seeing a brand on mine either.
Thanks.
